support us

If you are keen to support Echo Youth Theatre and the work our volunteers do, please consider becoming a Friend of EYT or donating to our Youth Enabling Sponsorship Scheme “YES”.

We are proud to have been supported by numerous individuals and businesses since we formed and if you would like to donate any items or services that we can use, please get in touch.

DONATE TO OUR "YES" SCHEME

EYT strives to make our activities accessible and affordable, but for some the costs are still too much and prevent them from taking part. The YES scheme has been set up to allow people, or companies, to sponsor young people and make a difference.

Your sponsorship will enable a young person to access high quality performing arts and ignite their passion for performance. With your sponsorship, we can make sure a young person has every chance to succeed in what they enjoy.

There are three main tiers of sponsorship:

Tier 1
£30  – this will pay for one young person’s  annual EYT membership costing £15 and it will give the young person £15 credit to use on our other activities.

Tier 2
£115 this will pay for one young person’s  annual EYT membership costing £15 and it will give the young person £100 credit to use on our other activities.

Tier 3
Unspecified – you can donate any amount to our YES Scheme and we will use your donation to grant bursaries to our members who qualify for support and show particular dedication or progress in an activity.  We will also use any unspecified donations to fund our outreach work to encourage more members eligible for support to get involved.

YES Sponsorship and Bursaries

Your sponsorship and our bursaries will be allocated to young people based on need.  We will use criteria such as free school meal eligibility and the young person’s specific circumstances to determine the awards, which will be decided by the Board of Directors.

Want to sponsor a young person or donate to the scheme?

Sponsorship:

If you would like to sponsor a specific young person, or would like your sponsorship to go to a young person with specific needs or a young person who meets a specific criteria, please email us to discuss your donation.

The Alan Thomas Memorial Fund

The Alan Thomas Memorial Fund has provided sponsorship funds to Echo Youth Theatre to support theatre activities for children from low-income families.

Alan was a dedicated teacher and Head of Languages at Highworth Comprehensive School in Wiltshire.  He passed away too early and his Memorial Fund is now used to support a range of youth and theatre activities, which he loved.

The Alan Thomas Memorial Fund provides bursaries to pay for EYT membership, attendance at workshops and show fees for children awarded the funding.  Please get in touch if you need financial support to fund your activities at EYT.

Great Hall Theatre Company

Founded as Great Hall Players in 1961, Great Hall Theatre Company performed at various venues in Norwich, and was latterly the resident theatre company at The Assembly House, in the heart of Norwich city centre. The company produced imaginative and challenging plays in the arena setting of the Noverre Ballroom and developed an enviable reputation for its work, attracting a loyal audience. The decision was made that the 60th Anniversary production in 2021 would be its last and, in line with its charitable purpose, Great Hall Theatre Company has donated its assets to local amateur theatre groups. Echo Youth Theatre have been honoured to receive generous donations of staging, lights and other equipment, which will benefit our productions for years to come.
